Plan your route and ways to get past pets. Go to bed dressed so you’re prepared, then contact your friends and leave a fake “you” before sneaking out.
You do not want to be seen by anyone you recognize knowing your supposed to be in school. You never stop looking over your shoulder, no matter how used to life you become – especially if I ever heard an English accent. By doing things like opening doors super slowly and avoiding creaks on the staircase, you'll be successfully out of the house in no time. If you have to run away though, try to save up as much cash as possible beforehand so you have money to get you by for a little while. Also, try to have a destination that you're running away to, like a youth shelter or a friend's or family member's house, so you're not wandering aimlessly.
